What material is your jewellery made of?
The printed parts of Misfit Makes jewellery are made of FSC Certified maple veneer and recycled clear acrylic. Designs are often embellished with imitation gold leaf, faux pearls and brass elements. All materials used are listed on product pages.
What metals do you use in your jewellery?
Our hoops are made of 304 stainless steel with 316 surgical steel pins.
Our hooks are 14kt gold filled.
Our studs are also surgical steel.
What is gold filled?
Gold filled components consist of thick layer of real gold, heat bonded to a base metal core. These pieces have many of the benefits of real gold without the price tag. It doesn't flake, peel or tarnish and is safe for sensitive skin and people with metal allergies. Gold filled pieces are also very durable and will last decades.
Is your jewellery safe for sensitive skin?
Our gold filled hooks are hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive skin.
All surgical steel contains a very low percentage of nickel so cannot be classed as hypoallergenic but I have had lots of feedback from customers with nickel allergies that have had no allergic reaction to our hoops. However everyone is different.

When will my order be dispatched?
For standard items Please allow 2 - 3 business days for your order to be dispatched, please note this could be longer at busy periods such as sales, collection releases and Christmas. As I am just one person.
For pre orders please allow 3 - 4 weeks for your item to be dispatched as it is being manufactured from scratch.
What are your shipping fees and delivery times?
UK
2nd class shipping FREE (No tracking). Delivery estimate is 2 - 3 business days, after dispatch.
1st class shipping £1.50 (No tracking). Delivery estimate is 1 - 2 business days, after dispatch.
24hr tracked shipping £4.00. Delivery estimate 24 hrs after dispatch.
International Orders
FLAT RATE £8.00 tracked shipping. Delivery estimate 5 - 7 business days, after dispatch.
Order as much as you like at no extra shipping cost.
Will I be charged duties and taxes?
If you live outside of the UK then you will have to pay duties and taxes in accordance with your country's law.
Is a signature required on delivery?
No, your items will not require a signature for any of our shipping services.
How do I track my order?
If you have chosen a tracked service your tracking number and a link to track it will be provided on your dispatch email (check your junk folder if you can't find it).

My order hasn't arrived what do I do?
Please allow 15 days for your order to arrive, sometimes things get held up and it's out of my control. After 15 days please contact me and I will help you with your order.

How do I start a return?

What is your return policy?
Misfit Makes has a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase (order number).
Please contact me before sending any items back so I know to expect your package.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned. Unfortunately earrings cannot be returned for hygiene reasons. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
I don't accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
When will I receive my refund?
I will notify you via email once I’ve received and inspected your return, and you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method.
Please note shipping charges are non refundable.
Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.
How do I exchange an item?
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
My Item has arrived damaged what do I do?
Please inspect your order and contact me immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that I can evaluate the issue and make it right.
I will ask you to provide a photo of the damaged / incorrect item along with your order number so please have these ready.
